Flavour, Groove, Intention: Tendai's Class

SZA. Busta Rhymes. Chase & Status. All in one résumé.

Choreography by Tendai

Tendai brought undeniable energy and artistry to The Manor LDN, delivering a class full of flavour, groove, and intention — the kind of session that's hard to fake and even harder to teach convincingly if it isn't genuinely part of how you move. As both a London-based dancer and choreographer, his powerful movement style has landed him credits with some of the biggest names in the industry, including SZA, Pa Salieu, Busta Rhymes, Chase & Status, and Bree Runway.

That roster spans genres in a way that says something about Tendai's range specifically — R&B, UK rap, drum and bass, and pop, all represented by artists he's worked alongside. It takes a genuinely versatile choreographer to move convincingly between those worlds without any of them feeling like a stretch, and that versatility was exactly what showed up in Finsbury Park. Being based in London himself, Tendai brought something the international guest choreographers can't always offer: a movement style shaped by the city's own scene, taught inside a studio built to actually showcase it.

The Manor LDN's reputation as one of Europe's leading dance studios, and certainly London's best, isn't built only on flying in international names — it's just as much about giving homegrown talent like Tendai the same calibre of room and standard. This class was proof of exactly that.
