DANCE // OFFLINE 2025: Josh Denyer: Built for the Stage

Josh Denyer’s career began in Australia, where he took on the lead role of Billy Elliot in the Australian production of Billy Elliot the Musical. He went on to train at Brent Street Performing Arts before receiving a full scholarship to Laine Theatre Arts in the UK, beginning a career that would take him from musical theatre to international stages.

On stage, Josh has performed as Neleus in Mary Poppins across the West End, Germany and Australia, as well as joining the original UK cast of Newsies, the Olivier Award-winning production. His work has also taken him beyond theatre, with credits spanning artists, brands and screen projects including Kelly Clarkson, Jason Derulo, Dermot Kennedy, Disney, Sony, Microsoft and Stranger Things.

That breadth of experience now feeds into Josh’s work as a teacher and choreographer. Based in London, he teaches Contemporary at The Manor LDN, bringing the performance knowledge built across his career into the studio. His approach sits somewhere between technique, storytelling and the instinct that comes from years of performing professionally.

In September 2025, Josh took that experience beyond the studio and onto the stage as part of DANCE // OFFLINE. The Manor LDN’s first major live showcase at Indigo at The O2 brought more than 30 choreographers and performers together across two performances, giving artists the opportunity to experience their work live, in front of an audience. Josh Denyer was part of that inaugural lineup.
