CHOREOGRAPHY BY JARED HAGEMAN

ARTIST: JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE - ONLY WHEN I WALK AWAY

LOCATION: THE MANOR LDN DANCE STUDIO, FINSBURY PARK, NORTH LONDON

Jared Hageman has never been defined by one style of dance. Born in Manchester and raised in Leicester, he started dancing at nine before training at Sylvia Young Theatre School and Doreen Bird Dance College. From there, his career has moved across musical theatre, contemporary dance, film, television, fashion and live performance — building a breadth of experience that now feeds directly into his choreography.

As a performer, Jared has toured internationally with artists including Kylie Minogue, Take That, Little Mix, Girls Aloud and The Saturdays, while also working with Matthew Bourne. His career has taken him from theatre and contemporary companies to Hollywood films, television, commercial fashion shows and arena and stadium tours. It is that ability to move between different creative worlds that has become central to his work.

In recent years, Jared has increasingly placed his experience behind the choreography. His credits include the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Closing Ceremony, The National Lottery’s Big Jubilee Street Party and Big Night of Musicals, ITV’s The Masked Singer and Cartier’s Magnifying the Beauty show in Florence. He was also Associate Choreographer on Harry Styles’ “Treat People With Kindness” music video, which won the MTV VMA for Best Choreography.

That cross-genre experience comes into focus with Justin Timberlake’s “Only When I Walk Away.” Released in 2013 on The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2, the track gives Jared another space to bring together the musicality, performance and versatility that have shaped his career.
