For Eryn Bates, movement is about more than simply getting through the choreography. As a professional dancer specialising in Jazz Funk, Commercial and performance, she has developed a style centred around musicality, expression and the freedom to make movement feel like your own. At The Manor LDN, that approach comes through both in the choreography she creates and the way she teaches it.

Eryn’s work sits naturally between performance and choreography. Her classes give dancers space to explore movement with personality, whether they are working through her Improvers class or stepping into her Smooth Choreography sessions. It is an approach that reflects her wider passion for creating and teaching — not just demonstrating steps, but helping dancers understand how they can inhabit them.

That balance between technical detail and individual expression is what makes Eryn’s movement language distinctive. Jazz Funk and Commercial give her a foundation, but performance is where the choreography comes alive — through musicality, texture, attitude and the small details that turn choreography into something personal.

In March 2026, Eryn took that energy beyond the studio and onto the stage as part of DANCE // OFFLINE at Indigo at The O2. She joined a lineup featuring artists including Boy Blue, Pro-Motion, Amber Rae, Jaron Lammens, Kelsey ‘Hydro’ Miller and Jamie Mason, in a showcase built around live movement, artistry and connection.
