There's a specific kind of career arc that only a handful of dancers ever complete: starting as an assistant, learning the industry from inside someone else's vision, and eventually building a body of choreography entirely your own. Candace Brown has lived that exact arc, and lived it at the highest level available. Her early credits as a dancer and assistant — including The Wiz on Broadway and work alongside artists like Beyoncé and Alicia Keys — put her in rooms most dancers only dream of entering, learning at the top of the industry before she ever led a room herself.

That apprenticeship shows in the choreographer she's become. Brown now creates original work for artists including Nicole Scherzinger, Gwen Stefani, and Jennifer Hudson, alongside productions like You Can Dance Poland and Kidz Bop — a genuine transformation from assisting other people's creative visions to shaping her own, and not every dancer who starts that journey actually finishes it. Brown did, and the results speak for themselves.

Teaching a class with that much creative authority behind it needed a room to match, and The Manor LDN's Finsbury Park studio gave Brown exactly that — full sprung flooring built for the kind of movement quality her choreography demands, a sound system that could carry every layer of a track cleanly through the space, and professional lighting that let her direct the room the same way she'd direct a set.
