Dario Boatner: From Detroit to the World Stage

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Dario Boatner began his dance training at just six years old. Now based in Los Angeles, Dario has built a career spanning dance, choreography and creative direction, with a performance style that has taken him from music videos and award shows to some of the biggest stages in the world.

Dario’s performance credits include Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Vol. 3 & 4, Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, The Weeknd’s Super Bowl LV Halftime Show and Janet Jackson’s Together Again Tour and Las Vegas residency. His music video credits include Chris Brown’s Psychic, Victoria Monét’s On My Mama, Rauw Alejandro’s Punto 40, Camila Cabello’s Don’t Go Yet and Tate McRae’s 2 Hands. Alongside his work as a performer, Dario has continued to establish himself as a choreographer, most recently working with Kehlani across music videos, live performances, award shows and her 2026 World Tour.

At The Manor LDN, Dario brought his choreography to Tyla’s Safer, giving dancers the opportunity to learn directly from an artist whose career continues to move between performance and choreography. The track appears on Tyla’s 2024 self-titled debut album, and Dario’s class captures his approach to musicality, performance and movement.
