A class this rare doesn't happen everywhere | The Manor LDN

Choreography by Gil Duldulao and Dean Lee
Dance lovers at The Manor LDN were treated to a genuinely once-in-a-lifetime experience as legendary choreographer Gil Duldulao and Dean Lee taught the iconic choreography from Janet Jackson's "Feedback" — two of the most respected names in commercial dance, sharing a single room, a single class, a single piece of choreography history. Sessions like this don't happen often, and it showed in the energy from the very first count.
Duldulao's groundbreaking work in the dance world has shaped some of the biggest names in music, including Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Usher, and alongside Dean Lee, the two carved out what can only be described as a masterclass in the deepest sense of the word — a genuine deep dive into their shared, innovative style, fusing technical precision with emotional expression while pushing dancers to understand what it actually means to perform, not just execute steps.
For everyone fortunate enough to be in the room, it was choreography, performance, and the sheer power of dance distilled into a single class. Choreographers of Gil Duldulao and Dean Lee's calibre don't teach together often, and they don't teach everywhere — the fact that this session happened at The Manor LDN says something about the calibre of room the studio has built, and it's not something anyone in Finsbury Park is taking for granted.
