DANCE // OFFLINE 2026: David Cottle: A Career Without a Box

Some dancers build their careers around one lane. David Cottle has spent his moving between them. His work stretches across live performance, theatre, film, music and artist development, with a career that has taken him from the screen to some of the UK’s biggest stages and back into the studio as a choreographer and teacher.

On screen, Cottle has appeared as a dancer in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Wicked, while his performance credits also include JUNGLE’s music videos. His work in live performance and theatre includes Message In A Bottle, alongside projects with artists including Ed Sheeran, Perrie Edwards and BTS.

But it is the way those experiences come together that defines Cottle’s approach. At The Manor LDN, his classes are built around choreography and performance, with musicality, detail and storytelling sitting alongside the technical side of the movement. His teaching carries the energy of someone who understands what it takes to make choreography work beyond the studio — when there is an audience, a camera or an entire production around it.

That perspective came to the stage at DANCE // OFFLINE 2026, where Cottle joined a lineup including Boy Blue, Pro-Motion, Amber Rae, Jaron Lammens, Kelsey ‘Hydro’ Miller, Jamie Mason and Eryn Bates at Indigo at The O2 on 21 March 2026. The showcase brought the focus back to live dance — movement in the room, without the screen between the artist and the audience.
