CHOREOGRAPHY BY AMIE MILLS
ARTIST: RIHANNA - WHAT'S MY NAME?
LOCATION: THE MANOR LDN DANCE STUDIO, FINSBURY PARK, NORTH LONDON
For Amie Mills, dance is as much about personality as it is about movement. The London-based dancer, choreographer and teacher has spent more than eight years working across different sides of the industry, developing a style that combines musicality, performance and a genuine sense of fun. Her choreography is known for being energetic and accessible, while still giving dancers plenty of space to make the movement their own.
Amie’s professional career has taken her from live performance to television and international events. She has toured with Rita Ora, appeared on Love Island and performed at international award shows including the Saudi Games. Alongside performing, she has built a growing reputation as a choreographer, creating work for music videos, film and television as well as developing choreography that has found an audience far beyond the studio.
Teaching has become an important part of that journey. Amie has worked with leading colleges across the UK as well as international workshops and dance camps, bringing her professional experience into spaces where dancers can learn, experiment and find their own confidence. At The Manor LDN, her classes span Commercial and Jazz Funk, with a focus on musicality, execution and performance — while keeping the room energetic and welcoming.
For Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?”, Amie brings that same instinct for musicality and personality into the choreography. The track’s smooth R&B and dancehall influences create space for movement that feels playful, rhythmic and full of character.
