Eryn Bates: A Language of Her Own

For Eryn Bates, movement starts with the music. Rather than fitting every track into the same style, her work moves between different qualities, textures and energies, allowing the sound to shape the choreography. At The Manor LDN, that versatility can be seen across her classes, from Jazz Funk to her own Improvers and Smooth Choreography sessions.

Eryn’s approach sits somewhere between precision and freedom. There is enough structure in the choreography to give dancers something to work with, but the emphasis remains on musicality, performance and finding individuality within the movement. That balance has become a defining part of her teaching, creating classes where dancers can develop their confidence while still making the choreography feel like their own.

Her connection with The Manor has grown through regular classes and pop-ups, including a Beginners/Intermediate session in December 2025. In March 2026, Eryn also appeared in the line-up for DANCE // OFFLINE at Indigo at The O2, alongside artists including Kelsey ‘Hydro’ Miller, Jamie Mason, Amber Rae and Hannah Arbury — placing her within a wider community of artists shaping London’s current dance scene.

At The Manor LDN, Eryn brings that musical instinct to FLO and KWN’s “Sex in Peace”. The choreography gives dancers room to explore the smoothness and rhythm of the track while experiencing Eryn’s approach to movement — detailed, expressive and led by the music.
