Da’Quan Fulford: Beyond the Performance

For Da’Quan Fulford, performance has already taken him across some very different creative worlds. His career as a dancer has included work on screen as well as live and commercial projects, giving him experience of what it takes to make movement translate beyond the studio. That understanding now feeds into another side of his artistry: choreography.

One of Da’Quan’s notable screen credits came in Disney’s Descendants: The Rise of Red, where he was part of the film’s large dance ensemble. Released in 2024, the musical fantasy brought together a cast of dancers working across elaborate performance sequences, with Da’Quan among the credited dancers.

His screen work also includes All American: Homecoming, where he appeared as a Frat Pledge in the episode “I Can Tell”. Together, those credits reflect a performer comfortable working within different forms of production — from large-scale musical numbers to scripted television.

Now, Da’Quan brings that performance experience into the studio at The Manor LDN with Drake’s “Shabang”. The choreography gives dancers a chance to experience his approach from the other side of the room — working with musicality, performance and the energy of the track while getting inside Da’Quan’s movement language.
