Hana Morris: The Global Dancer Making Her Mark in London

For Hana Morris, dance has never been about fitting neatly into one box. Born and raised in New Zealand’s competitive Hip Hop scene, Hana has developed a movement language that draws from Hip Hop, commercial, contemporary flow, jazz funk and heels. It is this combination of styles, experiences and influences that has shaped her career as a dancer, performer and choreographer.

Hana has spent the past few years taking that movement language around the world. In 2023, she joined BLACKPINK as a backing dancer for their Coachella headline performances before continuing with the group for the remainder of their Born Pink World Tour across the UK, USA and Asia. Her international credits also include touring with Taiwanese pop star Jolin Tsai, as well as working with artists including TYGA, Tia Lee and KUN. Closer to home, Hana has performed for New Zealand artists including Lorde, SIX60 and TEEKS.

Alongside performing, teaching and choreography have become an increasingly important part of Hana’s career. She has taught and toured extensively across Europe, the UK, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, bringing the same versatility that defines her own training into the studio. Her approach is rooted in musicality, groove and individuality, with different influences coming together rather than sitting separately.

That versatility made Hana a natural fit for The Manor LDN. For her class, she brought her choreography to Drake’s “One Dance”, putting her own spin on one of the most recognisable tracks in modern Hip Hop and R&B. At The Manor, Hana’s class became an opportunity to experience the movement language she has developed across a truly international career — and to find your own way into it.
