CHOREOGRAPHY BY KIERON SIMMS

ARTIST: OMAH LAY - HOLY GHOST

LOCATION: THE MANOR LDN DANCE STUDIO, FINSBURY PARK, NORTH LONDON

Kieron Simms approaches dance through energy. With Hip Hop at the foundation of his movement, his work is built around musicality, performance and finding the feeling within a track. It is an approach that carries naturally from the stage into the studio, where the focus is not only on learning choreography, but on understanding how to make it your own.

His career has also taken him onto some of the biggest stages in music. Kieron’s professional credits include performing with Kendrick Lamar and J Hus, experiences that have shaped his understanding of what it takes to perform with confidence, precision and presence.

At The Manor LDN, Kieron teaches Hip Hop, bringing that performance experience into the room. His classes give dancers space to work on musicality and movement while connecting with the energy of the music — the same qualities that sit at the centre of his own approach to dance.

For this choreography, Kieron turns to Omah Lay’s “Holy Ghost”, the Nigerian artist’s 2023 Afro-Pop single. Built around an infectious Afrobeats groove, the track balances confidence, desire and vulnerability, creating plenty of room for movement to breathe. The song reached No. 2 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart and became one of Omah Lay’s standout releases.

At The Manor LDN, Kieron brings that energy into the room — turning the music into something you can feel as much as you can dance.
