CHOREOGRAPHY BY JAMIE MASON
ARTIST: ALEX ISLEY & JACK DINE - LOVE AGAIN
LOCATION: THE MANOR LDN DANCE STUDIO, FINSBURY PARK, NORTH LONDON
For Jamie Mason, Hip Hop is more than a style — it is the foundation underneath everything he does. The London-based professional dancer and choreographer has built a career across live performance, television, stadium shows, commercials and the West End, developing a movement style shaped by musicality, performance and a strong understanding of Hip Hop foundations.
His career has taken him into some very different creative worlds. Jamie has performed in the West End production of Thriller Live, covering the role of Michael Jackson, and has worked with artists including Zara Larsson, Patoranking and Ray BLK. His credits also include Mylène Farmer’s European Nevermore stadium tour and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, where he performed alongside artists including Duran Duran, Mabel, Ella Eyre, Rod Stewart and Diversity.
Television has become another part of Jamie’s career, including Netflix’s Dance 100, while his work as a teacher allows him to bring that professional experience back into the studio. His classes focus on performance technique alongside choreography and Hip Hop foundations — encouraging dancers to push themselves while understanding the movement behind what they are learning.
That balance between foundation and performance comes through at The Manor LDN, where Jamie teaches both Hip Hop and choreography. For Alex Isley and Jack Dine’s “Love Again”, he brings a more soulful side of his movement language into the room, giving dancers space to work with the music, groove and feeling of the track.
