Cycles Took Him to New York. Boy Blue Brought Him Here.
Free Your Mind, Cycles, now teaching at The Manor LDN

Choreography by Jimmy Allan
The Manor LDN had the privilege of welcoming Jimmy Allan — powerhouse dancer, choreographer, and key member of the legendary Boy Blue — fresh off the stage from Boy Blue's Cycles tour in New York City. That kind of turnaround, stepping from an international stage straight into a London studio, brought exactly the energy, precision, and passion that have come to define his career.
Allan's credits extend well beyond Cycles. His work includes Free Your Mind, staged at Aviva Studios in Manchester, and his movement carries the same signature Boy Blue has become known for internationally: equal parts raw and refined, deeply rooted in hip hop foundations without ever feeling constrained by them. It's a lineage that connects him directly to some of the most respected names in UK hip hop theatre, and it showed in every combination he taught.
The class itself was a genuine deep dive into musicality, power, and intent, with Allan pushing dancers to explore rhythm with real clarity and purpose. What stood out most was the balance — intensity paired with encouragement, never one at the expense of the other. His teaching experience across the UK was obvious in how he elevated the entire room, every level, every dancer, rather than pitching the class at only the most advanced people in it.
