From Boy Blue and commercial dance to freestyle and Hip Hop theatre, Kelsey Miller and Corey Owens bring two perspectives together at The Manor LDN.

For Kelsey Miller and Corey Owens, Hip Hop is the common thread — but their journeys through it have taken different routes. Kelsey has built his career across commercial performance, choreography and Hip Hop theatre, while Corey came through freestyle and competition, developing his foundations across breaking, popping, locking and house. Different experiences, but the same understanding of movement as a form of expression.

Kelsey has worked professionally since the age of 16, with commercial credits including Kendrick Lamar, Stormzy, Little Mix, KSI, Anne-Marie, Giggs, J Hus and RAYE. Alongside his commercial work, he has performed with Olivier Award-winning Hip Hop theatre company Boy Blue and founded his own collective, Hydrogen UK, where he trains and supports the next generation of dancers.

Corey's route has been shaped by competition, freestyle and theatre. Originally from Wishaw in Scotland, he began training in Hip Hop at 10 and went on to compete with multiple UDO British and World Championship-winning teams. His movement practice has since expanded into choreography and Hip Hop theatre, including playing Neo in Boy Blue and Danny Boyle's Free Your Mind, while continuing to teach and create across Scotland.

At The Manor LDN, those two perspectives meet through Erykah Badu's “Bag Lady”. The choreography brings together Kelsey's experience across commercial and Hip Hop performance with Corey's freestyle and foundational approach, creating a space where musicality, texture and individuality can exist side by side.
