On Tour with Kendrick Lamar: Kida The Great at The Manor

When Kida The Great walked into The Manor LDN in July 2025, he was fresh from one of the biggest stages in the world. The Sacramento-born dancer and choreographer was in London as part of Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s Grand National Tour, which brought the two artists to stadiums across the UK and Europe that summer. The Manor hosted Kida for a special Hip Hop masterclass while he was in the city with the tour.

Leon “Kida” Burns has been dancing since the age of four, learning from his older brother before developing his own distinctive Hip Hop style. He became widely known after winning So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation in 2016 at just 14 years old, earning the title of America’s Favorite Dancer. Since then, his career has expanded across performance, choreography, music videos and live shows, including appearances with Kendrick Lamar and choreography for Justin Bieber.

His connection to Kendrick Lamar goes beyond the Grand National Tour. Kida appeared in the Not Like Us music video, and in 2025 joined Kendrick and SZA on the Grand National Tour, performing across its international stadium run. The tour's official creative credits list Charm La'Donna as lead choreographer, while Kida was part of the touring dance cast.

While in London with the tour, Kida brought his own choreography to The Manor for On BS by Drake and 21 Savage. The track appears on the pair’s 2022 collaborative album Her Loss, and Kida’s class brought his unmistakable Hip Hop style, musicality and performance quality into the studio.

The class was a snapshot of what The Manor is about at its best: bringing dancers into the room with artists who are actively working on the biggest stages in the world. Kida had just stepped off a global stadium tour — and walked straight into The Manor to share what he does.
