Two Emmy Nods and a Janet Jackson Tour: Luther Brown
Two-time Emmy nominee, now teaching at The Manor LDN

Choreography by Luther Brown
A world-renowned choreographer, dancer, and creative director, Luther Brown has spent decades genuinely shaping commercial dance and entertainment on a global scale — the kind of career where a two-time Emmy nomination barely scratches the surface. Brown's Emmy nods came for his work on So You Think You Can Dance and a Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist episode exploring race and identity, proof that his choreography has always carried weight beyond spectacle.
His credit list reads like a map of the last two decades of pop and Latin music: Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Ciara, Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj, Diddy, Daddy Yankee, French Montana, and Megan Thee Stallion, spanning tours, Las Vegas residencies, and film. That includes serving as choreographer for Janet Jackson's Together Again tour — the same production connecting him directly to other names in The Manor LDN's own Janet Jackson Series — alongside Gwen Stefani's "Just A Girl" residency, Jennifer Lopez's "This Is Me...Now," and Daddy Yankee's five-show retirement run in Puerto Rico. As founder of Do Dat Entertainment, Brown also helped build Toronto's urban dance scene into the thriving industry it is today, work that sits alongside choreographing the 2015 Pan American Games opening ceremony alongside Cirque du Soleil.
Known for a signature movement style built on musicality and the ability to bring choreography genuinely to life, Brown brought that full industry weight into The Manor LDN, challenging dancers to push their performance quality, confidence, and individuality while connecting with movement at the highest level. For dancers training with one of the most influential names in commercial dance, this was as close to the real industry standard as a class gets.
