For Alfie Kennedy, jazz has always been more than a style. It is a foundation for understanding rhythm, performance and character — qualities that continue to shape his work as a dancer, choreographer and creative. Based in London, Alfie has developed a career that moves between jazz, commercial choreography and creative direction, bringing a theatrical quality and strong musical instinct into everything he creates. The Manor lists him among its jazz faculty, where he continues to teach alongside a wider career in choreography.

That versatility is reflected in the projects he takes on. Alfie’s work spans music videos, live performance and creative projects, with recent choreography and movement direction including work for BombayMami. His role as a choreographer and creative director has also seen him work across different genres and visual worlds, demonstrating the ability to adapt movement to the artist and the story rather than being defined by one particular style.

Teaching remains an important part of Alfie’s creative practice. His regular classes at The Manor LDN include Jazz and Jazz Fusion, giving dancers the opportunity to work on musicality, texture, performance and the details that make choreography feel alive rather than simply executed.

For this class, Alfie takes on Gloria Estefan’s iconic “Get On Your Feet”. The track’s infectious Latin-pop energy gives him the perfect space to bring together his jazz foundations, musicality and performance-led approach, creating choreography that feels as energetic as the music itself.
