In 2025, The Manor LDN welcomed Mass Talent for an audition choreographed by Nathan Clarke, with Jorgie Vaughan assisting. Bringing dancers together for a day of movement, direction and performance.

Auditions at The Manor can look very different depending on the production. Some are intimate, invite-only sessions with around 30 performers, while others open the doors to hundreds of dancers — with previous auditions bringing more than 400 people through the studios.

That scale is something we’re used to accommodating. Whether a casting requires one studio for a focused session or multiple spaces running simultaneously for singing, dancing, script reading and waiting areas, the day can be structured around the production and the people attending.

The details matter too. For auditions involving live accompaniment or musical theatre, The Manor has a Hawaiian Hybrid piano on site, alongside professional lighting and a state-of-the-art sound system. We also have a range of production equipment available to hire, from clothes rails for costumes to microphones, mic stands and built-in PA systems, with additional equipment available depending on what the day requires.

For casting teams, it means the practical side of an audition can be considered alongside the creative one — from the moment performers arrive, through to the final audition. Multiple studios can allow different stages of the process to happen under one roof, while the space itself can be adapted to suit the production.

Mass Talent’s 2025 audition was one example of this in action: a focused casting day bringing talent and choreographic direction together in the studio, with The Manor providing the setting for the work to happen.
