From competing in Hip Hop as a young dancer to shaping choreography of her own, Poppy Olivia brings her creative voice to DANCE // OFFLINE 2025.

Poppy Olivia’s relationship with dance started early. Growing up in South Wales, she competed in Hip Hop competitions before going on to train professionally in commercial dance, completing her BA (Hons) in Professional and Commercial Dance in 2019. But for Poppy, dance has always been about more than learning movement. It is about discovering what she can bring to it herself.
That idea of individuality runs through Poppy’s work today. Alongside her career as a professional dancer and choreographer, she teaches across higher-education programmes including Trinity Laban, Bird College and London Studio Centre, while continuing to develop her own creative practice. Her work has included music videos, a Snipes USA campaign and choreography for artist V’nessa, while her teaching encourages dancers to explore their own artistry and creative choices.
Poppy’s commitment to developing other dancers extends beyond the studio too. She is the founder of SYNC Dance Company, an intensive dance training programme based in her hometown of Cardiff, creating further opportunities for dancers in the South West.
In 2025, that creative voice became part of something bigger. DANCE // OFFLINE marked The Manor LDN’s first major live performance at Indigo at The O2, bringing more than 30 choreographers and performers together across two shows. Poppy Olivia was part of the OFFLINE // EMERGE lineup, taking her choreography from the studio into a live setting.
