The Manor and Sustainability

Uniquely, dance is a craft that requires no additional materials, just your body. This positions dance as an environmentally friendly art form. With no excess materials comes no unnecessary damage to the planet. Perhaps this is the case for the individual dancer, but as a studio, we have had to evaluate our impact, too.

Our studio began its life as an office; the changes we made were not just transitions but deliberate acts of repurposing, where discarded glass panels found new life as upcycled iridescent dividers and forgotten tables became movable stadium seating in our vibrant cafe/waiting area. This didn't just minimise waste- it gave the space a unique, artistic flair.

Even within the walls of the studios, we had the notion of sustainability at the forefront of our minds. We use natural wool insulation, a renewable and biodegradable choice. The energy-efficient glow of the LED lights, powered by 100% renewable energy, casts a spotlight on the talented dancers and our dedication to a greener future.

The Manor is not only a space for complete artistic expression but a testament to the coexistence of art and environmental responsibility. With every pirouette and plie, we try to exemplify that all the world's a stage, and it's our collective duty to ensure the show goes on.
